The St. Thomas More Parish Pastoral Council consists of at least six and no more than nine parishioners serving as members-at-large, together with the Pastor and other parish organization representatives invited by the Pastor:

Purpose:  “Act as a consultative body to the Pastor, making evaluations and recommendations that:

• Assist the Pastor and pastoral staff
• Improve the quality of parish life and the effectiveness of parish services and policies.”

  The function of the Council is to:

• Determine the needs of the parish community
• Provide communication and cooperation between the parish organizations, parish activities and organizations
• Present opinions and evaluations during the decision making process
• Discuss the merits of proposals and recommendations
• Raise matters of concern relevant to parish policy making
• Recommend courses of action
• Make it widely known to the parishioners that the Parish Council is an available and appropriate means to express concerns and ideas regarding the parish

Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month at 7 pm unless otherwise noted.

The St. Thomas More Finance Committee advises the Pastor on all major Financial and Operational matters concerning the Parish and School.  The Committee is responsible for approving funds of all major capital projects, certifying the annual operating statement, and approving the annual budget including the school tuition and religious education program fees.  The Committee is made up of professional parishioners who have a background and knowledge in operations, accounting, finance, and the law.  Members include:  Fr. Bill Wagner, Mike Gennett, Joan Cardone, Eva Grachek, David W. Kling, Dick Schuler, Tony Schulte, John Trautmann, and Chris White.
