The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Purpose: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which men, women and children of catechetical age are initiated into membership in the Catholic Church. Through joining with the parish at Sunday Liturgy and Catechetical Sessions, potential converts are invited to come to know the Church and to discern the call of Christ in their lives.

Information: The RCIA team serves as catechists, facilitators and coordinators. The Parish community lends its support through prayer, hospitality and witness.

The Initial Inquiry, (also called precatechumenate), are sessions which present an opportunity for interested people to meet on an informal basis to begin considering the Catholic faith.tc "The Initial Inquiry, (also called precatechumenate), are sessions which present an opportunity for interested people to meet on an informal basis to begin considering the Catholic faith."

Christ Renews His Parish

Purpose: Christ Renews His Parish is designed to give both the individual and the parish an opportunity for renewal and growth in the spiritual family of the church It is also an opportunity for prayer and faith sharing in the awareness of God’s love and how we can respond to His call to help us grow together as a Christian parish family.

What Happens on the Weekend? Most who have taken part in the weekend say, “You can’t explain what happens: you have to experience it for yourself.” The 30-hour Christ Renews His Parish Process includes: group activities and discussions; prayer together; reflection talks by the giving team on topics such as The Father’s Loving Care for Us, Scripture, Eucharist, and the Christian Life, as well as private reflection. A Reconciliation service with individual Confession and a Eucharistic celebration are integral parts of each weekend. The weekend will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and will end by 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. The entire period, including a night’s sleep, will last between 30 - 32 hours

Women's Spiritual Growth

Description:  M.O.M.S: The Ministry of Mother’s Sharing is a group of mothers of all ages that learn to share the stress, concerns, and positive experiences that have influenced personal growth.  Experience the support of other women as you discover the depth of your spirituality.  This ministry is for women who devote their time of the spiritual and physical upbringing of their children, who live stressful lives, who live with many demands on their time and energy, and who need a place to receive personal and spiritual nurturing.  The only requirements are the ability to keep confidentiality, the desire to grow by sharing, and the ability to support other mothers in their personal spiritual growth.

Fathers Ministry

Purpose:  One of the greatest challenges facing families today is how to pass along Christian values to generations to come.

The Fathering Ministry centers are efforts on providing resources to fathers and grandfathers that will help them fulfill God’s mandate.  These seminars have become popular because dads are realizing that there is a battle going on and their children are the spoils.  Most fathers have received little or no training in parenthood.  A program that helps them understand God’s purpose for fathers, while providing help developing parenting skills, is well worth the time.

Bible Study

Purpose: Catholics today are seeking Jesus in the Scriptures as never before.  Many grew up in an era when the Church, busy doing other things, was not putting much energy into teaching the Bible.  Some Catholics even picked up a kind of fear of Bible ready – as if danger of false interpretation was so great it was better to have nothing to do with the Bible at all.  Today, there is a new emphasis on Scripture among Catholics.  Bible Study Groups, an expanded selection of Scripture in the liturgy and encouragement from Church leaders has led many Catholics to dust off the family Bible, looking for nourishment for the spiritual life.  T

One Bible Study Group meet every Wednesday morning at 9:30 in the Faith Formation Room located directly under the Church the other Wednesday evening in the School Library at 7:30 PM.

Contact: Fr. Bill Wagner (Wed evening) at 513-753-2553 or at wwags@sttm.org or Deacon John Convery (Wednesday morning) at 513-753-2568 or at jconvery@sttm.org

1st Week - Welcome Back!

2nd Week - How Catholics Worship

3rd Week - What Catholics Believe

If you are a Catholic who has been away from the Church, this is your invitation to come home.  Meetings are held from 7:00 PM-8:30 PM on Wednesday evening in the Faith Formation Room under the church.  There is no charge for the program.  If you have any questions, please call Deacon John Convery at 513-753-2568, or click on jconvery@sttm.org
